The Esme is an oversized, super cozy and relaxed maxi cardigan. Esme features a chunky button closure, large in-seam front pockets, dropped shoulders and rolled-up cuffs that emphasize the casual and carefree look. This pattern comes with plenty of ease. Choose your size according to the full bust measurement. Pattern includes both a copyshop and print at home versions.
Materials & supplies
• Pocket bag fabric, 25 cm (1/4 yd)
• Fusible knit interfacing, 145 cm (1 5/8 yd)
• Stay tape, 155 cm (1 ¾ yd)

This is an intermediate level sewing pattern.
Pattern includes the copy shop version.
Fabric suggestions
Choose a medium weight or heavy fabric with 20 – 40% stretch. For example terry, sweatshirt jersey or a heavier teddy or cable knit. Be careful with fabrics that are very drapey and soft, as they might make the pockets look untidy. In such case, consider omitting the front pockets. For the pocket bags, pick a medium weight, sturdy knit fabric that matches your main fabric but make sure your pocket bag fabric isn’t heavier than the main fabric. You can also use your main fabric for the pocket bags. We suggest cotton jersey or french terry, or Hacci sweater knits.
This is a PDF pattern you can print at home on 8.5" x 11" or A4 paper. This pattern prints in A4 format but can be printed on 8.5 x 11 paper by selecting the tiling option in the print dialog. There is a 3 download limit per purchase so please remember to save your patterns.
